Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Pickleball Cues provides local-first pickleball guidance, practice tools, and a single-device Game Day tool. This policy explains what the current mobile release stores, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Who controls the data
Contact us at [email protected] for privacy questions or requests. Before a wider launch or an expansion into jurisdictions that require it, Pickleball Cues will publish its legal-entity and representative details where applicable.
Data we collect
- Local practice data: completed drills, player-recorded results, preferences, timers, and local Game Day sessions. Player names, rosters, active scoreboards, and private notes stay on the device.
- Feedback: the lesson or topic context and text you deliberately submit. Do not include passwords, payment data, health information, private invite codes, or information about another person that you are not authorized to provide.
- Technical data: if you contact support or send feedback, the recipient service may process limited information needed to receive the request, such as your email address, browser or app type, and request time. Pickleball Cues does not use precise location, contacts, camera uploads, or advertising identifiers in the current mobile release.
Why we use it
We use local data to provide the practice and Game Day tools you request and to restore an interrupted active session on the same device. We use feedback or support messages only to respond and maintain the service. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or submit recreational results to DUPR.
Local-first storage and your device
Browsing, practice, and local Game Day do not require an account. Pickleball Cues uses app storage to save practice, local Game Day, preferences, and active-session recovery data so the app can work offline. You can export a local backup from Settings & data. You can remove local data through the app's reset or clear controls, your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. Clearing local data cannot be undone.
Local backup and removal
The current mobile release does not provide account sign-in, cloud backup, shared Game Day, ladders, public standings, or purchases. Use Settings & data to create a local backup file before moving devices or clearing app data. To remove data, clear it in the app or through your device settings. The separate Local Data Removal page explains these options.
Analytics, diagnostics, and feedback
Remote product analytics, session replay, and crash reporting are disabled in the current mobile release. Pickleball Cues does not transmit practice results, player names, rosters, score details, voice transcripts, persistent install identifiers, or access tokens for routine product analytics.
Feedback is different: when you choose Send feedback or request a missing lesson, the context and text you submit are transmitted to Pickleball Cues' feedback service so it can be reviewed. Do not submit sensitive information. User feedback is never published automatically. If analytics or diagnostics are enabled in a future release, we will update this policy and the applicable store disclosures before activation.
Voice and permissions
The current mobile release does not request microphone access and does not record your voice. Optional reviewed practice cues play from local app assets and do not upload audio or voice data.
Service providers and disclosures
The app works locally. If you send feedback or email support, the service that receives that message processes it to deliver support. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people and the Service, or in connection with a lawful business transfer. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
- Local records: remain on the device until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall.
- Feedback: retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, improve the Service, resolve a safety or security issue, or meet a legal obligation. We minimize feedback sent by email and do not retain it merely because it might be useful someday.
Your privacy choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you, or object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law gives you those rights. You may also withdraw a consent you have given. Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify your request and may explain a lawful exception or retention requirement. If you are a parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Children
Pickleball Cues is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. A parent, guardian, coach, or responsible organizer may supervise a youth Game Day and should use a nickname rather than unnecessary personal information. Do not submit feedback on behalf of a child under 13 without appropriate authority and any consent required by applicable law.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information and minimize what leaves your device. Local data is still subject to the security of your device and its operating system. No service can promise absolute security. If this policy changes materially, we will update its date and provide additional notice when required.
